This IT105 Assignment, to build a webportal for myself, has been an enjoyable one from which I have learned a lot. Though I have prior experience with web design and coding, I had primarily used programs such as Adobe Pagemill to design and build these sites. I had some understanding of HTML coding, which was proved to be a solid foundation for the construction of this website. Working by hand with html and css coding was not dissimiliar from my experiencs with c++, an experience that was also helpful. Some of the concepts for this site came from looking at the source code of other sites on the internet. Being able to look at and understand source code gave me a whole new appreciation for the work done on the internet by webdesign professionals and the work that goes into coding web pages.
